At the heart of our curriculum lies a commitment to the principles established by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), particularly within the framework of Gold Rights Respecting Schools (RRS) of which there are only two in Enfield; George Spicer and one other. We empower our students to understand and advocate for their rights, fostering an environment where respect, empathy, and collaboration flourish. This framework enriches our educational ethos, ensuring that every child feels valued and heard.
Additionally, we recognise the significance of the Global Goals (GG) in shaping responsible global citizens who are aware of the world beyond their immediate environment. By integrating these goals into our teaching, we prepare our pupils to address contemporary challenges, encouraging them to think critically about issues such as sustainability, equality, and social justice. This not only develops their understanding of global interconnectivity but also instils a sense of accountability towards their communities and the role that they play in the future of the wider world.
In conjunction with being a Gold Rights Respecting School and advocating for Global Goals, we firmly uphold the importance of British Values, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect. By embedding these values into our curriculum, we ensure that our students not only develop academically but also grow as conscientious individuals, ready to contribute positively to society. Our intent is to create a holistic educational experience that fosters informed, compassionate, and globally-aware adults of tomorrow.
