Year 4

The Year 4 curriculum is meticulously designed to ensure that pupils consolidate their learning from Year 3, ready for Upper Key Stage 2 by the end of the year. We are committed to nurturing pupils' enjoyment of learning, offering the full range of curriculum areas that inspire curiosity and engagement.

In English, we select texts with care, ensuring they not only match the students' progress but also captivate and motivate them to explore language further. By the end of Year 4, it is our expectation that all pupils have mastered their times tables up to 12x12, and are given numerous opportunities for practice. As pupils' vocabulary and language skills advance, they will participate in more structured discussions, presenting their work confidently and articulately. This approach aims to foster both academic and social skills, preparing our pupils for the challenges ahead.
