Music

At George Spicer, we want all pupils to be inspired by and immersed in range of musical styles, genres and experiences of Music. Teachers plan creative activities across the different areas of the National Curriculum requirements for Music.  Our Music learning has clear and sequenced topics so pupils are able build their knowledge securely.  These lessons are complemented by activities create on the ‘Charanga’ app.  All pupils are given opportunities in every lesson to practise, demonstrate and improve their oracy skills particularly through questioning and use of musical vocabulary.  Each year group also participates in creating their own compositions and has a musical performance to prepare for.
