Year 3

In Year 3, we are committed to delivering a curriculum that embodies the principles of Key Stage 2. Our intent is to inspire a love for learning through the exploration of challenging and thoughtful texts in English lessons, thereby fostering a deep understanding of language and literature. In Mathematics, students will continue to build upon their knowledge of the four operations, smoothly transitioning to more formal calculation strategies that underpin numerical fluency.

We continue to provide ample opportunities in every lesson for pupils to articulate their thoughts and engage in meaningful dialogue. This holistic approach ensures that each child not only grasps essential knowledge but also develops the confidence to express themselves eloquently, preparing them for future academic endeavours and learning throughout KS2.
