Religion and World Views (RW)

At George Spicer, we are committed to providing our pupils with a comprehensive understanding of various religions, emphasizing both their similarities and differences. Our curriculum aims to instil a deep appreciation for the more prevalent global religions, highlighting the equal significance of all faiths. We encourage respect for individuals who choose to embrace a non-religious worldview.

Our pupils will explore the importance of places of worship and gain insight into the unique practices associated with each religion. They will learn about key dates and events related to specific religious festivals and understand their significance to their people. We foster an environment where thoughtful and respectful questioning of religions is encouraged, enabling our pupils to engage with diverse beliefs critically. Furthermore, we emphasise the connection between moral codes and religious teachings, alongside other worldviews, underscoring the importance of ethical principles in fostering a harmonious society.
