PSHE

Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) including Relationships and Health Education (RSHE) at George Spicer Primary School

PSHE & RSHE education is the school subject through which children and young people acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to manage their lives, now and in the future. PSHE education develops the qualities and attributes pupils need to thrive as individuals, family members and members of society.

The Department for Education has introduced statutory changes to the teaching of Relationships and Health Education from September 2026 and, as such, we are entering a period of consultation with for our new policy. This includes a coffee morning for parents to come to school to find out more about the changes to our teaching. The period of consulation will run from Wednesday 29th April 2026 to Wednesday 10th June 2026.

In our school we choose to deliver Personal, Social, Health Education (including Relationships and Health Education using Jigsaw, the mindful approach to PSHE. Here is a link to the information for parents Jigsaw.
