George Spicer Bulletin - 09/01/2026

Welcome Back to All Our Families!

We are excited to welcome everyone back for the new half-term. Our value focus this term is Determination—the strength to keep going, even when things get tough. This week in assemblies, we shared the story of The Snowdrop by Hans Christian Andersen. The story teaches us important lessons:

  • Being small doesn’t mean being unimportant—everyone can be brave and special.
  • Courage is about trying, even when things are hard.
  • Hope can grow in difficult times.
  • Kindness and care help things flourish.
  • Everyone has their own time to shine.
  • Believe in yourself, even if others don’t.

We encouraged pupils to think about their own plans for the year ahead: something they want to improve, something they want to give up, and something new they want to try. Perhaps ask them what they have chosen.

Together, let’s inspire our children to approach challenges with determination and kindness, helping them grow into confident, resilient learners.
