Here are some children enjoying their favourite books from last week’s challenge!

Reception
Primrose – George – Cars 2 by by Parragon Books – I like it when Finn is spying on Professor Z. I like it when Mater opens the toilet door and it hits Peter because ti is funny because it makes me laugh. Isaiah would like this book because he also likes cars.
Daffodil – Henry - They All Saw a Cat by Brendan Wenzel - I like what the cat looks like when the fox sees it, it looks squishy. I like the background of the snake page because the snake can see which bits are hot and cold. I like how the bat sees the cat because it's all dotty. I like how all the different animals see the cat. You should read this book if you like cats.
Bluebell – Ayla – Don’t Be Afraid Little One by Caroline Pitcher – I got this book from the book swap and I read it with my mum. It is really good. My favourite part is in springtime they all go somewhere warm and run around the fields with their mummy.
Snowdrop – Emre – Mr Men Adventure with Dinosaurs by Roger Hargreaves – The T-Rex is chasing Mr Greedy. Mr Tickle is trying to chase the dinosaurs, he is tickling the triceratops. My favourite is Mr Tickle!
Year 1
Elm – Levis – Chocolate Cake by Michael Rosen – I like the author <Michael Rosen because he makes funny sounds in the story. It is funny when his um wonders what has happened to the cake.
Oak – Edith – The Fairy-tale Hairdresser and Beauty and the Beast by Abie Longstaff – I like the story because it is a fairy tale. My favourite characters is Baby Prince. This is my favourite book becausethe front cover is very sparkly.
Ash – Boyan - Ketchup on your Cornflakes by Nick Sharratt. This is my favourite book because it has funny pictures and words that you can mix up. I laughed at 'Do you like ketchup on your head?.
Year 2
Sparrow – Yunis – Treasure of Easter Island by Geronimo Stilton – His sister goes to find some treasure but she is in danger! Geronimo has no choice but to save her. My favourite character is Geronimo I’m not brave and he is like me. He is smart and kind but he panics a lot like me but he is a funny guy. Year 2 will love it because it is adventurous and means you can escape. You will want to reach the end because it is so exciting.
Owl – Meliisa – Dork Diaries Skating Sensation by Rachel Renee Russell – My favourite part is when they turn into clowns when they are ice-skating. My favourite character is Nikki because she never gives up. You will love this book because it will inspire you to never give up.
Robin – Aron – Peter Pan by Andy Mangels, James Matthew Barrie, and Joeming W Dunn. I like this book because it is so adventurous and it has exciting fights. My favourite character is Peter because free spirit that can fly and will never grow up! You should read this book id you don’t want to grow up.
Woodpecker – Hazel – Mr Bump and the Knight by Roger Hargreaves – I like this book because I like dragons. It is about guy called Mr Bump who wanted to be a knight so he went somewhere to learn but they were all bullies. My friends should read this because if they like knights and dragons they can read about them.
Year 3
Innaya (Sioux) - The nastiest unicorn (Pip Bird)- It is a numerous book which follows the life of a unicorn, it looks at different friendships forming and it has a wonderful ending.
Year 4
Odysseus - Clancy – Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey. I like it because it is a very funny story. I like number 4 especially because it gives people funny names like Professor Poopypants. George because he’s very silly and he has funny flat top hair. Children above 5 who like jokes and silly stuff
Year 5
Thoth - Eyja - Warrior Cats by Erin Hunter– I like this book because it's always full of action and the characters all have their own unique personalities. There is always a new mystery to solve. My favourite character is Fire Star because he is the main character, and he is very loyal and courageous. I would recommend this book to people who love cats and want to have a long book series to look forward to.
Year 6
Defiants - Gabriel - The Hate You Give by Angie Thomas - I like this book as it highlights racism, and it really gives the reader a perspective of how black people were treated in the past. My favourite character is Starr. She is the character that has seen racism with her very own eyes. She has experienced the death of her best friend, who was killed due to her skin colour. As you read on, this unravels in the book. I recommend this book to everyone, as this book delves deep into racism and the affects it has on young people
